I imagined it to be at least twice as big as it actually is, but it doesn't matter. In fact, it's small enough to take with you on a trip, but leave enough time to see it. If I had my own drum kit, the display would be green or red, but NOT blue, as blue light is said to interfere with sleep; BUT almost everything else about this little radio makes me happy! Mind you I literally just plugged it in 5 minutes ago and will always update it if it stops working or whatever, but here are the pros and cons as I see them: PROS: - Very small - takes up little space on your bedside table AND takes up little space Create a little space in your suitcase - INTUITIVE! - I didn't even bother to open the little booklet that came with it and I set the time, set 1 alarm, chose the alarm sound and volume, and found the radio station and volume I wanted. I have enough problems every day - don't feel the need for more when trying to get the electronics to do what I want! ;) - The sound is surprisingly good from a small speaker on the back and loud enough at level 15 (halfway I think). - Separate volume buttons for the alarm is really cool. That was one of the things that initially attracted me. I usually want my alarm clocks to be a lot louder than my news/talk radios that have USB charging ports on the back. I haven't tried them, but they are! - Works with a USB power plug OR by simply plugging the USB into a USB port on a wall outlet. Well! Assuming this also means I could power it from my external 15,000mA backup battery for my phone when needed! - Backup battery slot - good if you have power outages more than once a year. 3 x AAA batteries (not included) CONS: (None of these matter AT ALL!) - Blue display - Dimmer works but no fine tuning - Headphone/external speaker jack would be AMAZING! As I said, I haven't spent an hour on this article, but my first reaction is pure joy! The radio is still playing, sounds good! Will update if anything else seems particularly good or bad to me. In the meantime - RECOMMENDED!
