Stupid design but once repaired it works like clockwork

The thing is extremely poorly assembled. It's full of cold solder joints and bad measurements. When it arrived it didn't even work. I had to touch up each solder joint on the 2.5" side with a soldering iron (you can tell there just wasn't enough solder on the pins) before it worked. . Check out the before and after pictures. But after that, man, I honestly couldn't be happier. It works great and I can reimage hard drives on all my old laptops! Windows 3.1 is now running again on my Compaq LTE Elite 4/75C.

Pros

Proper connection: The front of the laptop hard drive (the side with the sticker) lines up with the front of the card (the side with the indicator light).

Cons

Not everything is as good as it is written
