Crap but works like a charm once fixed

Extremely poorly put together. It's full of cold solder joints and bad measurements. When it arrived it didn't even work. I had to touch up each solder joint on the 2.5" side with a soldering iron (you can tell there just wasn't enough solder on the pins) before it worked. . Check out the before and after pictures. But after that, man, I honestly couldn't be happier. It works great and I can reimage hard drives on all my old laptops! Windows 3.1 is now running again on my Compaq LTE Elite…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is great

Doesn't work best with memory card adapters

I'm trying to use an mSATA drive that I'm putting in an IDE enclosure for use in an older Power Macintosh, so that's what I got. For testing, I'm using a Macally Firewire case with a 40-pin internal IDE interface. The hard drive works, but unfortunately the adapter does not. There are two lights; red power indicator and green activity indicator. The red light is on when power is applied, the green light is on briefly (2 seconds) and never comes on again. Since then I've tested in multiple…

Thank you for your work 😊 About memory card accessories

Fits super 👍 and works very well with 2.5 IDE SSD, for this to work you may need a jumper pin for SSD adapter or m.2 to use IDE you only use on HDD IDE.

Pros
  • 2.5" IDE for laptop: 44-pin connector; 3.5" desktop IDE: 40-pin connector; PSU: 4-pin IDE
Cons
  • Some small things

Pros
  • Proper connection: The front of the laptop hard drive (the side with the sticker) lines up with the front of the card (the side with the indicator light).
