I've been using the Pentax K1000 for many years and I love it! So I decided to try the "newer" version and wanted to be able to use all my lenses. My only complaint is that I didn't bring a 55-300 telephoto lens to take advantage of the autofocus feature, which produces great photos with minimal effort. The "digital age” offers SO many opportunities to "learn” that it can be overwhelming at times. Getting the little icons in the right shooting mode, like anything new, takes a bit of getting used to. However, the more I use this camera, the more I like it. I'm still reading the book and trying different things. Much to learn. But with "automatic" features and basic settings (and my most basic understanding of the matter), it starts much earlier than typical point-and-shoot cameras.
