I have used a suction cup mount before and it feels much more stable and secure than using a suction cup mount. I would recommend this as a more secure option than the suction cup mount. Also, I find it to be the best eye level as it's mounted on a mirror rather than a suction surface. It has a very strong grip with the mirror and stretches quite a bit, so I'll be surprised if it doesn't match some mirrors. it is perfect for mine.
