Update: My MacBook lives on my couch. I'm starting to wonder if I need it because it's been going from my desk to the couch and back again. It's never been dropped or damaged. But in the case, that just happened there is clearly a crack. I have questions about the durability. It seems I know now. I will end up replacing this to protect the corner of my device where this part will inevitably snap off. The kit also included a screen protector. The keyboard cover is slightly different from my keyboard. See attached picture.
