Review on RMT-D255A Replacement Remote Control for Sony VCR DVD Recorder RDR-VX535 RDR-VX560 RDRVX535 RDRVX560 by Kelly Dorsey

So I have this old Sony player, the remote worked a while ago no more and I have ordered this replacement. As others have said, this will not work if your DVD player is set to DVD 1. I've tried everything like holding "enter" and a number at the same time etc. etc. etc. 25 times, disconnecting, etc. It won't work. It's so frustrating that the player has no way to access the command screen or system settings using the buttons on the player, everything has to be done from the remote control. And I don't know how other people got this remote to work but not mine. So I have to return it and I think I just threw the player away because it's almost unusable.
