RMT-D255A Replacement Remote Control for Sony VCR DVD Recorder RDR-VX535 RDR-VX560 RDRVX535 RDRVX560 Review

I put off writing this review thinking it was a battery issue but after trying and returning 3 other types of brand new battery packs , it ranged from Duracell, Energizer, Regular Lithium and Ultimate Lithium. I couldn't get the remote to work or even fire it so I could program the DVD/VCR combo.

The remote control for my Sony DVD player suddenly stopped working, internet research revealed that several people had the same problem. Luckily I found out that the same model remote was still available and ordered one from Revain. The new controls aren't really as long as the old ones, but they work great. Without a remote control, the DVD player was pretty much useless as most functions cannot be controlled without it.

So I have this old Sony player, the remote worked a while ago no more and I have ordered this replacement. As others have said, this will not work if your DVD player is set to DVD 1. I've tried everything like holding "enter" and a number at the same time etc. etc. etc. 25 times, disconnecting, etc. It won't work. It's so frustrating that the player has no way to access the command screen or system settings using the buttons on the player, everything has to be done from the remote control. And…
