These bulbs worked fine. I've used two of these in my range hood - they're actually about 1/2 inch longer than the halogen bulbs they replaced, so they're visible and fairly bright when on, which can bother some people. The stoves light up when I'm not cooking and they provide a brighter light across the entire stove. The dim ("low") mode is still quite bright. I am very happy to replace my high power halogen bulbs with these. I used an incandescent bulb in a glass shaded floor lamp, while the standard 60w bulb was so bright it was blinding.
