Review on 🥣 KitchenAid KSMSFTA Sifter and Scale Attachment, White, 4-Cup Capacity by Jason Lee

Good for someone but not busy baker

To be honest I really like this product; This is a very smart combination of things at a good price. You get a little 4 cup funnel to put your ingredients in and you can weigh them straight into the mixing bowl and sift - how uncool that can be! Unfortunately it has defects and I am sending it back. Here's what I think: - the scale is very good and as a bonus you can use it as a standalone bench scale - very cool - the funnel is small - 4 cups in a 6kW blender - it's not that much - the strainer works when the blender definitely works, so if you're beating butter, for example, and you have ready-made dry ingredients in the jar, the sieve will run in turbo mode and make noise gets stuck and you have to keep hitting the sides. This is to keep the ingredients flowing. Using a scale to weigh the ingredients you add is handy (and recommended in the manual), but there's really no way to mix them in the container since it's so small. You actually have to measure them out in another bowl, mix them, and then load the strainer bin, killing the value (and workflow) of the whole deal. I ended up really wanting to love this thing, but it's more for the novice baker who can add ingredients one at a time and has a 3 or 4.5 liter blender.
