Another disappointing solution

I bake a lot and hate sevens. I have 2 stand mixers and thought this would be a great addition to sift all the sugar I use for buttercream. I am very disappointed with this device. it's slow Very loud. The strainer of a sifter can be a little larger than a silver dollar, so if you're trying to strain 2 cups of something, you better be prepared to wait. And wait. And wait. Since the screen is so small, now if you get a lump it will clog about half of the screen and then stop the weak flow of…

Read this and think before you spend money on this device!

I bought this strainer primarily to help sift icing sugar for buttercream. I have homemade cakes, I make A LOT of buttercream, and I HATE the mess that powdered sugar makes. I thought this attachment would save me. Boy was I wrong! Just this morning I had my fourth disaster when all the attachments came off and fell on the floor spilling 4 cups of powdered sugar all over the kitchen. That's exactly what I wanted to avoid! Also, sifting the flour into the cake batter takes too long because it…

Good for someone but not busy baker

To be honest I really like this product; This is a very smart combination of things at a good price. You get a little 4 cup funnel to put your ingredients in and you can weigh them straight into the mixing bowl and sift - how uncool that can be! Unfortunately it has defects and I am sending it back. Here's what I think: - the scale is very good and as a bonus you can use it as a standalone bench scale - very cool - the funnel is small - 4 cups in a 6kW blender - it's not that much - the…

Loud grinding noise

I was very happy to have bought and used this strainer and scale for my blender as I bake a lot but I sent it back after a few days. This strainer and scale attachment plugs into the KitchenAid socket on the front to power the strainer and the scale runs on batteries that you can easily install. I was excited about this scale because sifting alone can often be tedious and makes a huge mess if you try to sift while the blender is running. This attachment solves that problem by helping you…

Healthy but Bulky - Light fluffy cakes

Bought mine at a fancy French store because it was the only one that stocked it. Even though I've watched videos online showing how it works, I still found it a little different than what I expected. There are lots of benefits as well as problems of using this item. One of the first things I made was soft brown butter cookies (with puffed quinoa). Problems: As soon as you turn on the sieve, it pours out the flour very slowly at speed 2. If you have 2-4 cups of flour in a bowl, it takes a while.
