Overheats Dangerously

Overheats instantly when placed in an iPhone. The iPhone didn't recognize it or anything connected to it as a mass storage device. It might have worked as a charger, but within minutes of plugging it into the phone it got so hot we didn't want to add power. Smells like burnt plastic.
