The dishwashing and hand soap containers that I keep in the back of the kitchen sink were soiling my new white quartz countertop with small drips running down the sides and onto the floor after pumping they collected. I've used products that contained some type of dye, not clear. I started putting a folded paper towel underneath but it looked dirty and I had to change it often and it got wet easily which made the problem worse. This shelf protrudes a bit into my sink but is the smallest width I could find. It still works because I have it in the back and the faucet is on the side. The legs don't seem to bother the quartz (although I'm sure I'll have to check often to see if they're starting to leave traces of rust or metal). And the drip tray prevents dripping soap from staying on the counter and causing stains. It also keeps the grout where the back of the tile meets the countertop dry and clean. It looks attractive and includes two refillable bottles of dish soap and hand soap. I could even squeeze out the sponge, but I have a separate small ceramic sponge container, steel wool, and my small vegetable brush.
