Description of Efficient Micro Touch Sanding Galvanized Dispenser for Precision Sanding Tasks

Pen, Bottle Stopper or even small goblet finishing just became a bit more enjoyable with the Micro Mesh Soft Touch sanding pads! Starting with the lowest grit of 1500 all the way up to 12000 grit this abrasive pad pack is sure the leave your project just the way you want it. This pack works extremely well when working with CA finishes leaving your work looking like it was done by a professional!. When using the pads it is recommended that start at the lower grit of 1500 and step or cycle your way up to the high grit of 12000. The more you get into to woodturning the more the reality of being organized comes into play. This couldn’t be more true than when it comes to our abrasives. This unique dispenser accepts 2” x 2” Micro-Mesh abrasive pads. Specifically designed for the Micro-Mesh 2” x 2” 9 pack of abrasives, this dispenser has color coded grit chart to help keep your pads in order. This works wonderfully well when step sanding your finished turning project. Simply cycle your way through the grits by pulling the next grit from the dispenser and placing the used one back on top. The dispenser is made from corrosion resistant galvanized steel which also makes it extra durable for the workshop environment. It can be mounted flat against a wall or it can be mounted to a table top. Of course you don’t have to mount it at all. The dispenser measures 6” tall, 31⁄4” wide (at base tabs), 2-7/16” wide (actual abrasive holder) by 11⁄2” deep. The colors on the grit chart and the colors of Micro-Mesh abrasives may vary slightly due to color shifts in the manufacturing process. Package comes with 9 color coded micro mesh pads and 1 each galvanized steel dispenser.

Nice little setup for sanding pads

Nice little setup. I love having these fine sanding pads on hand. color marking. Just don't submerge in acetone. Removes adhesives instantly. Rschunimagu. Just my stupid mistake. Not related to the product.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No.

On the fence good for hand grinding Products

I like the holder, it's quite comfortable. But the pads are a bit small, so that can be a good or bad thing depending on the project. Also, they wear out pretty quickly, but that's probably because they're too small for my project.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Safety

It is not worth buying hand sanding products

The grit of the sandpaper is very difficult to match the table on the side of the dispenser, and when you put the sandpaper into the dispenser, it is very firm, making it difficult to remove the pads. If I had to do it again I wouldn't order a dispenser

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Works great need a better system

They are great I use them to finish the frets on my guitars. It would be 5 stars if they listed the grit on each pad. Confusing when you use them all in one project. The metal stand is color-coded on the side, but it's still hard to tell which pad is which.

  • Handy item

Great idea, but little use in the real world.

I already had two sets of these sanding pads but they are scattered and the holder seemed like a good idea. However, the pads do not slip off easily when in use. That's right, I had to fiddle with it and soon threw the holder on the floor and just folded the new pads with the old ones.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Discontinued

Peelable foam

I use water pads. After the plates were used a few times, the abrasive surface began to lag behind the plates. The stand is useful when the plates are dry. The pads stick together when wet. If I only use them once, I put the dry pads in order. Once they get wet (I used water when sanding) I have to lay them out to dry before using the coaster again.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great price good holder

I already use these micro mesh pads they are excellent. In this "set" there was a holder (dispenser) which I thought would be handy. I was right, it is very practical. The combination packaging (holder and micromesh pads) is a bargain for the price. (4 stars in the "easy to use" vice 5 because.) The holder only has one label (stitch sequence) on the right side., for me it would be better on the left (see photo) This is an extremely SMALL problem. (preferential element). An improvement would be…

Smart Stand - Hand Sanding Products

I love the fact that I can switch from one grit to another without having to look for a color chart which doesn't really reflect the actual colors of the slabs on each pad if they do fall out, but the stand keeps everything straight. The stand is fairly durable and should last for years. The pads themselves work great, but once they reach the end of their useful life, they quickly fall apart. They give great results and I will continue to buy them.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Very Expensive

They work well for fine polishing pen sets and resin on a lathe, but it kills me that it's impossible to keep the pads straight because the colors are so similar. I can't tell which ones I use half the time because the colors on the label and the colors on the pads are too close together. Brown, Light Brown, Black, Gray, Dark Brown. Maybe I'm just getting old, but if I need to replace them I'll look for the better labeled ones and tell you which ones you're using. If you look at the label, you…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
