Review on ๐Ÿ• Gold Rope Dog Leash for Training, Hiking, and Walking - Colofast - 3/4" Diam x 4 ft Long - by Yellow Dog Design by Elizabeth Silva

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Polyester gets dirty easily and stretches a lot; length is wrong.

66-year-old male and lifelong dog owner. I bought a 6ft 3/8" yellow leash. I used it for two weeks to give myself a chance to love it but ended up throwing it in the trash. What I didn't like - ( 1) Unlike a traditional flat nylon leash, this polyester leash gets dirty very quickly.Yes, I bought the yellow one, but after two weeks it's still greyish-yellow and needs washing.I have nylon leashes that I've been using for 2-3 years that have NEVER been washed and still look great.(2) They were supposed to be 6ft long but were actually 6ft 6". You may think an extra 6" isn't a big deal, but I walk three dogs at a time , all on 6ft leashes, usually all held with one finger, so all three dogs happily walk side by side. The dog got a 6" leash, peaceful coexistence flew out the window. Neither the black dog nor the red dog wanted the yellow e dog leads. Discord, discord, discord. (3) When I need to communicate with a dog with a certain type of tug on a leash, the leash must be static to avoid misunderstanding. Unfortunately, this lead has some stretch and is therefore nice and sharp. Twitches become soft twitches, to the point that my intentions are clouded - the dog doesn't understand what I'm saying with my twitch. I had never owned this type of leash and bought it as an experiment. It was only $14. so it didn't cost me much to try. It was a worthwhile experiment. I think this leash will work for someone else if (1) you don't care how dirty it is, (2) you just walk a dog, and (3) you use the two-handed "obedience training" technique when The distance from your "pulling" hand to the collar is less than two feet, reducing the stretching effect of the leash.

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • too stupid
