Review on πŸ‘• Organize in Style: SONGMICS Hall Tree Coat Rack Stand with 9 Beech Wood Hooks - Black, Natural Grain by Jill Weingartner

Goes well with furniture

On par with most SONGMICS products: not great quality as I would hope but pretty good value for money. I rummaged through cheap hangers. and chose this one for its material (metal rather than wood so I'm hoping it's less likely to break under weight) and design where the base with a wider footprint and lower hanging hooks made me think it was less likely to tip over . So far it looks like this: He is currently carrying a heavy suede flight jacket, a leather bag, a thinner coat and a backpack loaded with books. The shape of the hanger means everything can be tucked away neatly next to my bookshelf, and while I keep the heaviest items on the highest hooks, I have to pull the whole hanger five inches off its center of gravity before it actually tips over, rather than adjusting it back to the Base. The assembly wasn't up to scratch. The parts are made in the form of round tubes that fit inside each other and one of mine was a little flattened at the opening so it didn't plug in at first. I ended up just hammering it with a hammer, so I recommend having a hammer handy. (Maybe a flashlight too - the black screws on the black tubes look great when finished, but make getting there difficult.) Also, the top that connects the three "branches" together is a bit frayed. Negotiation. Challenging is my word for the assembly process and it comes from someone who genuinely loves assembling IKEA furniture.

Pros
  • Coat hanger
Cons
  • Big and chunky
