Beetles has become my favorite gel nail polish brand. My manicure is holding until I remove it with a drill and magic gel remover - the last manicure I left for three weeks. The polish held up well, but my bare nail was unmanageable. The manicure just fell off. I've almost completely given up on the bugs but decided to give it an honest try by buying their base and top. This makes a HUGE difference in paint integrity! Prepare your nails thoroughly before polishing. Push back the cuticles and rub the entire surface of the nail with 100% acetone to ensure it is dry. Beetle paint hardens in about 90 seconds. I used the lamp that came with my first gel polish kit years ago and it only lasted 30 seconds at a time so I had to use it 3 times per shift. Lamps can also be too powerful/not powerful enough for different brands of polish, resulting in heat spikes or sticky uncured polish. After eight or nine manicures I bought a Beetles lamp and I really like it. No more heat spikes and it has a 90 second button.
