Easy to assemble but overall cost could be improved

This overview is for SONGMICS five tier metal storage racks. They come in pieces and must be collected. They include pre-cut shelf liners in the box, which is great to see as they're almost essential to function well. And the last thing here are 8 metal hooks for hanging pots, pans or whatever. The shelves have adjustable legs so you can make sure they're level no matter where they're placed. Assembly. It was easy and they go together easily. You connect the plastic pieces at all 4 corners and then slide the shelf down over the supports and tap them together with a rubber mallet or with your hands. The only thing you have to do is make sure that all the pieces are on the same level at the 4 corners and that they are positioned correctly. After that, just count the rings as you place the next shelf and continue in the same pattern until you're done. You can also change the height on the go, for example if you want to place larger items on the floor. This product is smaller than I expected as it is only 2ft wide. The listing shows this in the picture so I must have skipped that and just saw the height of the product. Just make sure it fits your needs before you buy it. I have another large metal shelf that is slightly taller and also almost twice as wide for the same price. The shelf is ok if that's the size you want, but the cost is a little suspect as I think it should be cheaper for what it is. Overall this is a good solid shelf. It can support up to 44 pounds per shelf with a maximum weight of 220 pounds for the entire unit. Each shelf has ridges on all sides to keep things from falling off which is a nice feature. If you don't need a lip, you can install the rack upside down. If the shelf was a little cheaper I think it would be worth buying a few more to store different things around the house.
