Little preparation required for best results

I bought this primarily for the overall cost compared to name brand shrink plastic. The cost of the sheet in this case is much higher. However, because these sheets are clear and not "matte" or "textured," some markers don't provide good enough coverage and don't leave streaks, even when shrunk. I used two types of markers: permanent markers and Marker Winsor and Newton Brush. So a marker of high and low quality. Both didn't want to stick well to plastic or dissolve well. Even with several "layers" of the marker, the streaks remained. The blue pendant in my photo was made with Winsor and Newton brush markers, unpolished. The charm of the white cat in my photo was applied with prismacolor colored pencils, sanded. with medium to fine grit sandpaper and sand the sheets to create a texture that works better with markers and now the added benefit of being able to use colored pencils. smooth circular motion up and down). You don't even have to sand for a long time, 20-30 seconds for 1/4 sheet and you can already see and feel the difference. Don't believe the directions on the package, in my oven at 330Β°F it took 30-50 seconds to make very small pendants, not several minutes like the directions say. books and spread them out while they are still warm. Complex cuts with lots of detail may not turn out as intended and may need post-processing. If your pendants look "unfinished" after baking, you can use Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, UV Resin, or Epoxy to coat the colored side to give it a pop. nice shiny finish. I hope this helps you get the most out of your shrink plastic!
