I had a few of these that I used on coke floats as a kid so I could scoop ice cream and sip vanilla flavored cokes. I forgot about them until I had a snowball machine (think Snow Cone). At first I wanted Icee Spoon Straws, but I also wanted something more durable and reusable like the ones I had as a kid. I realized how useful those same spoons would be, and the rest is history. I tracked them down and while 40 Straws has a lot on hand (!), I'm glad I never have to hunt around again. , always! In terms of clarity, I like that they're transparent so you can be sure they're clean inside, unlike the opaque ones I've had before. I haven't used a ton of these and honestly can't remember if they are dishwasher safe. My intuition says yes, and another part of my intuition says I have 40 of these, so I may donate a few even if they don't wash very well in the dishwasher if they don't last as long as I do. think what they do.
