Review on 22Mm Engineer Stainless Straight Bracelet by Ben Jacobson

This is a really nice watch strap with a solid case, no roughness and a smooth working locking system. It arrived on the promised day, was well packaged and a little lighter thanks to the grub screws. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that although it was advertised as fitting most 22mm sports watches, the oversized spring bars included made it impossible to get between the end of the strap and the body of my watch to fit Ball Engineer II Airman. Watch. I ended up using regular sized spring bars because their smaller outer diameter created a bit more space between the two pieces. Although everything now works as it should, I'm a bit worried that the smaller spring bars might not be strong enough for the combined weight of the watch and bracelet in the long run. Overall, I'm surprised that the maker of this quality aftermarket strap didn't consider the variety of watches it might fit and allowed for a slightly larger gap tolerance between the straight end of the strap and the watch case, especially when it was clearly intentional that the tight fit of the large OD spring bars is part of the assembly.
