This is a great affordable deep treatment for very damaged hair. It contains all the ingredients to help strengthen hair, but be careful if your hair can't handle a serious dose of protein. Too much protein can make hair very dry, and there are people whose hair does not tolerate protein at all. And you do NOT have to use protein to have healthy, strong and super shiny hair. Yes, it is helpful but not required. People who are protein sensitive or intolerant can have luxuriously thick and shiny hair like those whose hair loves protein like mine. I can use one protein product after another with no ill effects. Many people don't know exactly what is in their hair products, they don't even check the ingredients. If the hair doesn't respond to treatment, at least temporarily, something is wrong. The product is either full of protein (most over-the-counter shampoos/conditioners are) or not right for your hair type/texture. This mask is excellent if your hair can use some serious protein injection. It softens and strengthens really well and also makes my hair super shiny.
