Best 7 amp grinder Best in power and hand tools

I had a hard time deciding if I needed this and as a result I spent a lot of time here and at Home Depot researching. Angle grinders are simple tools. All major manufacturers basically offer small variations of the same design. For 4.5" grinders you basically choose the following things: Switch: thumb/paddle/trigger switch, latched/unlatched Motor: typically 7/7.5 amp (3.5 lbs) or 10/11 amp (4.5 lbs) Other: tool-less guard adjustment, etc. Price That's it. The closest competitors I saw were the Milwaikee 6130-33 and the Dewalt D28110. Both have thumb locking switches. I thought the Milwaukee switch was too small and flimsy to the touch, but I like the easy adjustment. The Dewalt has a larger and more powerful switch, but is heavier for a 7 amp grinder, weighing 4.1 lbs. You can hold it, but that means every time you let go of the tool, it stops. It has a small latch in the center that needs to be clicked before the paddle switch will turn the tool on. This becomes natural after a few uses and prevents the tool from accidentally not turning on when you put it down. On the other hand, you either have to hold the instrument in a very specific way or reach for a switch to turn it off. This is not ideal for such a powerful hand tool. I've only used it once so far to help a friend remove rust on his car, but given Makita's solid reputation (similar or equal to Dewalt/Milwaukee) I expect this tool to last. long time. Of course, there is also a great case, 5 grinding wheels and a diamond cutter. Overall I think this is the best angle grinder on the market.
