My 2011 Chevy HHR key fobs that came with the car when I bought it did not work properly. The lock button works 20% of the time when it's on. With the California rainy season approaching (maybe? I hope!), I wanted to get my key fob fixed so I wouldn't have to stand in the rain trying to lock my car. I was offered to buy a new shell and swap it inside out. When they arrived I opened them up, took out the battery and circuit board, plugged those into my (now old) FOB and all my buttons work great! It was very easy to switch out and I've never been happier to get working keychains again!
