I was experiencing a slight hum/crackle in the audio coming from the overhead speakers in my home theater. I spent months researching and rewiring, even adding a separate clean ground wire out in the yard that connected to a ground rod, the loft, and the outlet that my AV system also plugs into. Also for power conditioner/surge protector. I also hooked up the chassis from my AV receiver to an amplifier for the ceiling speakers and that just calmed it down a bit. Then I tried it as a last resort and it fixed everything! I'm so relaxed! I hooked it up between my AV receiver and the amp that powers my overhead speakers. And my sound is fuller too!
