Review on 🏊 Enhance Your Swimming Experience with FINIS Tide Swimming Goggle by Jose Miller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Swimming coach approved

To be honest, I'm a swimming coach and a mother of 5 professional swimmers. Our team is sponsored by Speedo, so I know their products better. As a swimmer, I spend more time in the water than possible. Finis have a good reputation for swimming and they are cheaper than my regular goggles. I was surprised that these glasses arrived in a plastic bag as opposed to the protective cardboard and hard plastic of the speedometer. The label says the packaging is smart to reduce waste, but as plastic isn't recyclable and cardboard is, I'm not so sure. These adults are 13 years or older. My 13 year old swimmer thought it was a bit too big. The nose pieces (3) can be changed to accommodate different size nose bridges. In my experience, the nose bridge and temple are the weak point of most glasses. They come with plastic cords that break easily but can be replaced with a bungee cord. They have a silicone pad that sits on the outside of the eye socket, which most swimmers find most comfortable. After setting it up correctly, we had no issues with leaks. They're advertised as fog-free, but we all know that's not the case. I like that they have UV protection but it doesn't say how much. . . I would say they have low or reduced resistance. Anything that forms a profile in the water can cause drag. . . even though you count the resistance of your points, you are faster than me! Made in Thailand.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Upgradable
