The sound quality is good. However, I have tried everything so that it does not ring when they call me. The call is LOUD and amazing. I'm a therapist and I wanted this to play softly in the background. Scared us both to death when it happened. It also startled us when the battery was low and a loud voice from the speaker would repeat "battery is low" until you turned it off or plugged it in. The backlight is good too. But not very suitable for what I wanted to use it for during therapy sessions.
