Review on ISOtunes Xtra Bluetooth Earplug Headphones: Ultimate Noise Reduction, 8-Hour Battery Life, Noise Cancelling Mic, OSHA Compliant (Black & Yellow) by Tai Wiest

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent except for connectivity issues

I liked them while I was working and they did a good job of blocking out noise once I was able to fit the headphones properly. I haven't tried the other kits they sent because the issues I had with them were very annoying. Which problems? 1) The connection I got was a little worse than an 8 year old Bluetooth headset that was half the price. The Xtra had a shorter range overall, was more prone to disconnects, and broke easily from electrical noise. This made the Xtra terribly impractical when welding. However, it did a good job of blocking noise when grinding. The only reason I didn't use my old kit for this was because it didn't block noise, but the old one was still better when doing lighter work that didn't require noise cancellation. found the battery life almost as good as advertised - an older set which I easily beat. There weren't many warnings before it went extinct, either. The warning was annoying when my hands were full and I couldn't just turn it off. 3) There was a thin plastic loop on the charging cable cover that could be used as a tiny pen. This piece didn't last longer than the second time I opened it. Made me seriously doubt the durability of the rest of the product. 4) Small issue but voice alerts for connections etc always sounded tinny which made them feel cheaper than they actually were. Conclusion: Not bad, but not outstanding.
