Adhesive suddenly fails after a few years

I used to give this product 5 stars. I loved these hooks when I first discovered them; the walls in my house are practically made of concrete, which makes driving nails in extremely difficult, almost impossible. I've had a few hanging on my walls with different sized strips/hooks, all of which were hung for about a year and more about 5-6 years ago (maybe longer). The product was working exactly as intended until a few months ago I heard a loud noise in another room and discovered a framed piece had fallen off the wall. After all this time, the adhesive backing has completely failed, the hook backing is no longer sticky. two hooks and only one failed). I'm still a big fan of the product and wasn't as critical of the situation as I should have been. Jump ahead maybe two more months, and this time something that had been hanging for years fell off the wall before my eyes because the glue suddenly stopped working. I really don't know what to do with the situation, there were no extreme weather conditions to cause problems and all instructions were followed during installation. I think the adhesive material dried out over time. Reading other reviews I see cases where hooks fail after weeks or even months but not years. This product was fairly new to the market when my work was posted; could it be that the hooks have an expiry date and will surely fail given enough time? Do you only want the hooks to last a certain amount of time before drying out or losing traction? I couldn't imagine any of these things for 50 years (a nail shouldn't have a problem with that), what about 20 or 10 years? If a product has a useful life, the manufacturer is obliged to inform us of this expected useful life, even if it is several decades. I still have an issue with almost impenetrable walls and am very inclined to keep using them with the caveat that a replacement will be needed in 2-3 years and an extra hook to secure the first one in case it fails (what happened to). the second of the three failures I had). I don't want to say the product is completely useless because it isn't, I just think it's important for people to be aware of the potential shelf life of the product.
