Review on Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, Black and Silver by Robin Nelson

Love love love this product. Need a replacement for a 10 year old Braun that has finally succumbed to daily use. This old model fits under our cupboard upside down. I've always kept it open until it dries. You can't do that with newer models, so the wooden spoon photo keeps it open. (I'm a fan of mold and odor prevention.) Back to product. Very easy to program, makes delicious coffee. 12 cups are convenient for guests. Now we brew 3 cups a day. Special features are the loop on the filter basket holder and the handle on the gold-colored filter, which can be used to empty the coffee grounds. As mentioned, the coffee maker is easy to use and comes with a manual that provides easy-to-follow instructions. (Very beneficial for an older husband). It has an attractive carafe and an auto shut off after 2 hours. Until then, the heating plate keeps the coffee hot. Carbon water filters are used. Bought universal filter from Revain. Much cheaper than Cuisinart filters. Other reviewers had issues with the manufacturer dying after a short period of use. We've had it for almost a month now with no problems. I will update the review if anything bad happens.
