This post I sent to Wix explains my assessment: I bought a WP10129 cabin air filter and from a production perspective it's a terrible failure. The height of the felt border at the ends of the filter differs significantly from the height of the sides of the filter by about 1/8 inch. What happens in this case? Well, the sides of the cabin filter are hinged to the filter housing, so the majority of the airflow is directed through these side gaps and not through the filter media. You must escalate this issue to someone at Wix who can resolve the issue with your manufacturer. I always thought Wix oil filters were well designed, but air filters seem to have issues. Also, your manufacturer should print the words "Air Flow" next to the arrows on the sides of all of your cabin air filters. The number of people asking this question on the forums is significant (because the arrow on the OEM filter often points in the installation direction and the word "Up" is printed next to their arrows).
