Review on Triton TSPS450 Oscillating Spindle Sander: Optimal Sanding Precision and Efficiency by Scott Rao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money but I wish the manufacturer had a little more attention to detail

This spindle grinder works very well. I've wanted something like this for quite some time and the couple of projects I have planned made me realize now is the time to get it. It was pretty easy to set up. It seems very durable and long lasting. I would have given it 5 stars if there hadn't been a few issues: 1) There was a very deep notch on the top of the table. This is a cosmetic defect and doesn't affect the performance of the tool, but I'm wondering if the manufacturer had any quality control at all? 2) As other reviewers have mentioned, the inserts that fit different spindle sizes are too thin, causing my workpieces to get stuck when I try to slide them across the table surface. Like others, I adjusted the inserts so they were at the correct height. 3) I immediately realized that I would have trouble keeping track of the wrench and some small parts used with different sized spindles. I used automotive decorative tape to attach a flat magnet to the body of the grinder and I keep these parts attached to it.

  • Grinders
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
