Goldfish are very dirty and even with a strong filter, their aquarium is difficult to keep clean. From time to time I put charcoal or other filter material in my goldfish tank strainer but it has to be in a bag, the bags get gross after a while, the threads bind and won't unravel, and the bags are very expensive to buy separately. This pack of bags is great value, they're a good size to fit my surge protector, and they close with plastic zippers so I don't have to try and unclip a wet, dirty cord when changing contents would like. . They are made of a fine mesh that should hold most of the charcoal particles. I was delighted to see them on the Revain list and I think they will do well.
