An easy to read display with a bright color bar allows the home cook to quickly see if the temperature falls within the usual 350dF/175dC range. The stand is a decent size, but the thermometer is light so you have to be careful not to tip it over when you put it on the work surface. The hanging tip runs parallel to the body of the thermometer, which makes hanging in the center of the stand a little awkward on certain types of stands without multiple crossbars. All in all an accurate thermometer for the price. Everyone should have an oven thermometer on hand to calibrate and check the oven temperature.
