Review on πŸ”’ Electronic Conversion Protection by Clockwise Tools by Adam Huper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

100% accurate, reliable, coolant resistant and affordable. Buy them without hesitation!

I've been using this for 8 working days. The zero reset is so far from its ridiculous. The gauge sometimes doesn't even work when the jaws are slowly opened for the first 2 inches, then the gauge displayed jumps to 21+ inches. The reading "runs away" many times. At first it looks like a normal reading, and then it keeps growing. If it works, the reported measurement is so far off that it renders these calipers unusable. Look at the picture above. Do you think it's 47.662 inches? And I thought it was 12 inches max. Complete garbage. And in case anyone mentions using a new battery, it has just been purchased and installed. Don't waste your money on this junk and buy a Mitutoyo. Yes they are a lot more expensive but when your calipers need to work Mitutoyo always work unlike these which may or may not work. If you can't trust them, which I can't, they're useless. I have to return them by September 8th and if the seller contacts me I want to try the replacement kit. I really like the fraction function and I want it to work properly. UPDATE September 28th: I emailed the company this afternoon requesting a replacement of my problematic calipers. I got a reply within minutes and they sent me a replacement kit to try. Therefore, the rating at the moment ranges from 1 star to 3 stars for excellent and fast customer support. If the new set works as advertised then it is a 5 star caliper set. Stay with us! UPDATE October 1st: After speaking to Vic at Clockwise Tools on Friday September 28th (late afternoon) I received a replacement caliper in the mail late this evening. It was fast! And it comes with a calibration certificate, which is welcome. I haven't had time to test it in real life, but tomorrow I'll test it against the calibration standards at the store. I don't know if it was just me, but that caliper felt a lot better than the first set. I'll let it run for a week or two and then report back. UPDATE October 14th: I have been using these calipers 100% for the past two weeks after testing them on gauge blocks in the shop. They are accurate as far as calibration goes. After two weeks they were working perfectly. No measurement jumps, unguided measurements, or other issues I had with the first set. I would like to thank Vic at Clockwise for his help and generosity in providing a new calibrated kit. They are accurate, easy to use (like fractional values) and worth the money. I see no reason why you shouldn't buy them and if you happen to get a bad set like I did, rest assured that Vic at Clockwise Tolls will fix it. 5 stars and a great set of calipers.
