I bought this product for several reasons: to make the chicken smell better, to have something to eat, to relax the chickens (if they like human smells) and to help with pests and to help fly. I was a little afraid it would be a waste of money but I gave it a try anyway. I was so happy! The scent is great and lasts for days. There seem to be fewer flies and after I started using it the girls started rushing more. Also, 1 pound makes a huge difference - I use a handful each week (my little son helps, so sometimes it's a lot more). I am preparing to order a second bag and it has been more than eight months since the first purchase! I will definitely use them as long as I have chickens!
