Review on 💇 MATRIX Unbreak My Blonde Reviving Leave-In Treatment: Strengthen, Soften, and Shine Damaged, Lightened, and Processed Hair by Shannon Baroody

I really like the Unbreak My Blonde line from Matrix. I ordered all three products (shampoo, conditioner and leave-in) which to be honest can be a bit pricey. But if your hair is bleached (not necessarily blonde) and damaged, this system can help strengthen and moisturize your hair. I love all three together, but I also wanted to try this product on its own, so I also tested this product on its own with my typical shampoo and conditioner. Just so you know, this is a firming product only - it is NOT a purple mask. I thought it was a purple product due to the color of the bottles and the name of this line. (I thought it was an anti-brass combo due to the purple pigments in the conditioner and booster). This product only strengthens, but it does the job well. (And it's actually good that it doesn't have a purple color because then it can be used by people who lighten their hair but aren't blonde). If yellowing is an issue for you, I've found that switching to my purple shampoo and conditioner for one wash a week seems to help and I use this product/system on other occasions. I have fine hair that I have been bleaching/dyeing for over 5 years. It was already quite brittle, but a few months ago I melted a few strands of hair while trying it out with a new flat iron. After using all three parts of this Unbreak my Blonde Matrix system, my hair feels less damaged, stronger, less frizzy and more hydrated than the products I've used before. long time. Apply to damp hair after washing/conditioning. I avoid the roots and apply it to my hair from top to bottom. I also use a typical heat protectant spray to dry and straighten my hair to make sure I don't cook or melt my hair. It has the same Dolce and Gabana Light Blue scent as the shampoo and conditioner, but I don't think it lasts as long as the other two. I can't smell it on my hair after a minute or two of using this product alone. The product leaves no texture (greasiness, stiffness, etc.) on my hair - maybe if I've applied too much product. It's not a styling product either so you can use your second product on top of that if you need to and it didn't affect the effectiveness of that second product for me (I use a small amount of straighteners). Overall, I don't think this firming leave-in is that effective. I lose more hair between washes. I love how it conditions my hair, but I love it even more when I use shampoo and conditioner.
