Review on Duck EasyLiner Adhesive Surfaces, Clear - 12 inches x 36 feet by Chris Meckler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT for book covers! See how below.

Sold as a shelf liner I've been using them for years to protect all the books in our house! Paperbacks are so easy to fool that whenever a new book comes out I quickly cover it before we start reading. 12" wide x 36' long CLEAR LAMINATE, PERFECT for this job. Here's how to do it: 1. Place the book on the laminate, fold the laminate in half across the top and cut along along the pre-marked lines.(The backing paper is marked in 1/4" increments from 1" to 12" that will repeat on the roll.) 2. Fold the laminate in half, shiny side up. Make no strong crease in the middle.3.Place the book to be wrapped on top and mark the top and bottom edges at the center edge.4.Remove the book and cut crosswise and then diagonally to leave room for the spine.( See photo.) The deeper the spine, the more you will need to cut off.5 Open and completely remove the back cover.(You will need a flat surface to work with.) 6. Place the back cover of the book on the right side of the laminate and make sure it is centered paperback, rub your hand across the inside back cover to remove bubbles. If the book is hardcover, use firm pressure to move the book up and down, now stuck to the laminate.7. Cut out two triangles from the corners, one at the top, one at the bottom. DO NOT throw away, just set aside for use after the next step.8. Fold all three edges up and into the back cover.9. Take two triangles and place them in the top and bottom corners. This will give you reinforced corners.10. Carefully lift the book up onto the spine, making sure it is secure. Turn the book face down.11. Repeat steps 6-9.12. Look for bubbles throughout the book and clear them if there are any. CONGRATULATIONS! You've now covered your book and helped preserve it for years to come. Please note that I bought this product at the current FULL PRICE. I wasn't asked for a review, but I chose to do so. Thanks Liz
