Bought this vacuum cleaner for elderly parents. You have a chimney and cleaning becomes too difficult. My dad was very surprised when the box arrived at his door (I didn't tell him I ordered it) and was excited to try it! The long hose, wheels and cord made it easy to move the vacuum to any area of the chimney. The suction was very strong and quickly took care of the ashes. This vacuum was cheaper than the others we tested BUT it's not cheaply made. Stainless steel canisters, double filters convinced me because I don't want them to inhale the ash dust. Like what happens when you just sweep away the ashes. My dad vacuumed up the fairly fine ash and when he was done there was no dust in the air or on their furniture. It is compact and easy to store. My parents are very happy with this vacuum cleaner. We will buy one for our cabin.
