This is a great travel size as it has a full size hot plate but is much more compact on the outside. It's a little odd to use because you're literally holding it right above your hair instead of to the side. But once you get used to it, it's not bad. The plates inside are enough not to burn your fingers. The switch is very simple as it only has one setting: On. There is no way to set the temperature. So if your hair cannot withstand high temperatures over 400 degrees, this straightener is not for you. I don't know why they couldn't add more customization, but that would be a suggested improvement. It also needs a small carry case as it is specially designed for travel. For the price I think they could easily include this. Overall it works well and definitely straightens my hair.
