I've sent this back three times already. You need to remove the gray cap from the end, remove the tube inside, screw it into the pump itself, and then screw the end of the tube onto the tire valve stem. The problem is that the hose does not screw into the pump. Keeps failing. I can feel some small ridges in the pump so it can grab the hose but it doesn't. The pump opening is too large. We went to Disneyland last weekend and had a flat tire. The pump made the tire complete and didn't pump any air into it at all. Luckily the rental wheelchair at Disneyland had a compressor, otherwise it would really be a problem.
