Don't buy this Chi!
I bought for my daughter in April 2016 to replace her previous CHI that lasted more than 5 years. This one stopped working for no reason last week which means less than 18 months of use. A plate is no longer heated. I think they make them cheaper now. From the time of purchase on Amazon, there is no return option. UPDATE: Decided to contact Chi directly and with a very nice customer service rep. informed me that my rectifier is indeed covered by a 2 year warranty. I sent it back and got a new one today. Changing my rating to 4 for good customer service. (Let's see how long this one lasts!)
