So good for door and stair gates

We live in an old mobile. The nursery is housed in a 10x10 closet with a 23" door frame. My husband of course has a large smelly destructive dog and with no vents it is important to keep the door open. I've been looking for months for a baby gate that could accommodate such a small door without much installation since it's for rent. I'm not sure how I finally stumbled upon this, but I'm so glad I did. Perfect. It can open either way and I can give it hell and it won't budge. It can also block things. The baby isn't here yet, but it looks like it's working! The night size is 22.5 and will fully fit a 23.5 inch gate with about a half inch opening on each side to allow the gate to be bolted down. So the size is right. Edit: The baby is already here. I don't like one thing. You have to pull the knob and raise the door. The level of buoyancy is the required good buoyancy. This means my 5 year old can't use the door. Good and bad. This also means that with an AC part, opening the door can be painful for the first few days. Then sometimes it takes more than two hands to hold a squirming, wild, hungry newborn while trying to open the door. Since it's all about keeping dogs out at the moment, I often leave the door unlocked.

Pros
  • Automatic closure on both sides
Cons
  • I'll write later
