Good size. Bought a Brilliance Archival Coffee Bean ink pad for this stamp to give it a vintage look, put in three stamps but couldn't get a clear image, put in a Versafine Clair stamp in multiple colors and got a much sharper, crisp one Image, also a Ranger stamp. Archival ink and got a nice crisp image. I've never seen the clear cover for the stamp, it's bigger than the stamp but if you try to take it off it's going to want to detach from the foam piece and leave a sticky mess so I left it and cut it off. additional transparent plastic around the stamp. The die will still stick to your punch platform with the plastic on the die. As for stamps, they are definitely not the best quality.
