This cable failed before first use. The plastic case cover is too malleable and may crack or tear. This product needs to be pulled out. My case cracked after installation and before I rode my bike onto the street. It may only look like a blemish, but the shroud is necessary to keep the brake cable taut. No tension, NO BRAKES. If the cable fails during use, serious injury may result. Brakes are very important on a bike.
