Pros: Lightweight. compact. it fits in my backpack. Good quality shades. good light diffusion. Fast folding and unfolding. You can control with one hand while shooting with the other. Accessibility Cons: It's plastic and tends to brake when it hits a hard surface. In fact, mine broke when I hit soft grass. I cast a new aluminum grip and now it will last me forever. If you're on a tight budget and mainly shoot portraits or fashion on location or in run-and-gun situations, this isn't a problem. Get one even if you get more expensive gear later. You'll find yourself using it quite a bit. You can see my photos taken with this light modifier as the main light. In settings with one or two light sources, the second light is a naked flash as an additional light. This octabox provides beautiful highlights in the eyes and soft shadows in the face. I love this thing when I use it 85% of the time. I like this size for my dramatic portraits, it gives me the right shadows. It's good to use in tight spaces, it's good in public places, it's good in running and shooting situations. I only wish the grip was more durable, or solid plastic or skeletonized aluminum, and I also recommend Fotodiox to add adapter options for the Bowens mount.
