Good strong jars for storing food

I bought it for a candy bar for a wedding, now I keep coffee in one of these jars, it's nice and heavy and lets the coffee breathe a little. However, I wouldn't use it for really perishable goods like cookies. I accidentally jammed the lid of my Carrera marble counters killing a lot of broken glass and nothing happened to the lid. Pretty durable I would say. I would buy it again, you can't beat the price but make sure the lids aren't fully sealed.
