I originally bought it because of the annoying lights on my computer that couldn't be switched off. For example, the red RAM LEDs that are constantly lit on the motherboard indicate that they have power. There's no way to turn them off, so I've tried these guys and they block most of that pesky red light, but still some left because it's not flat with the motherboard, which I can't do anything about. And then I used some on my girlfriend's monitor that flashes blue when the monitor is asleep and it works great! still sees some light but it doesn't light up the room like it used to, so the moral of the story is they work best on flat surfaces!
