The best part is that it is rechargeable and portable. A fan won't help you stay cool if plugs can't keep it where you are. As a fan, however, it generates some noise. Since it's hanging around your neck, some of the sounds mentioned are almost directly in your ears. So if you need to hear things clearly, you can't use it all the time. Which, to be honest, since it's hard, maybe that's a good thing. I put it on to cool off for a few minutes when things get really hot at work, then put it back under my desk until I need it again. I've loaned it to my co-workers to keep them cool while I'm not using it. The battery is exceptional - it's not dead yet!
