Excellent leather quality, I did not notice any bad smell as I read in previous reviews. This is the kind of leather the more you work with it, the softer it gets. I look forward to many years of using this wallet. There are several design features I would change, although none of them would prevent me from using the wallet. Advantages: - Outstanding leather quality! this is really just my personal preference, no real cons) - I wish the latch in the ID/card holder was oriented differently, you hold the wallet upside down to get to it. If you have opened a purse and need your ID, you will need to close the purse and turn it upside down to get to it. - I think the inside is upside down too. With the zip up to receive the change, the vertical card holder is reversed. If it were placed on the opposite side it would make more sense. *** Again, these are preferences and will in no way discourage me from using or recommending a wallet!
